Get going with the bike
With the e-bike or mountain bike you can “cycle” the best “treats” in the region - dreamy places and mostly even the journey is the goal. 26 designated tours with 1000 km await you with a cool mix of nature experience and sporting activity. You can rent your bike at the Alpin Style Hotel Erzherzog Johann! The latest trend is downhill, for which a wide variety of trails and lines are available on the Planai and the Reiteralm. True to the motto "Where the skiers rush into the valley in winter, you are now on your bike" you will also feel the adrenaline in your body. You will receive valuable tips from professionals in the bike school in Bikepark Schladming on the Planai.
Summer vacation in apartments ideal for hiking
Hiking in the mountains of the Ennstal - the Dachstein massif and the Schladminger Tauern are different and so charming. Craggy rocks on the Dachstein, such as on a tour to the Guttenberghaus, or mountain lakes and thundering waterfalls, such as the hike over the Alpinsteig "durch die Höll" to the Riesachsee, show the magnificent diversity. Alpine pastures, such as on Duisitzkarsee, or summit victories, such as on the Styrian Kalkspitze in the Preuneggtal, make it perfect. It is also ideal to take the “first hurdle” with the gondola - free of charge with the Summercard - and start at the summit, such as from the Hochwurzen to the Rossfeld and the Guschen. Impressively beautiful!
Golf vacation - the variety is the program
Golf plays a special role in the Schladming-Dachstein region. With no fewer than three excellent courses within a 40 km radius, there is also something to offer here. The Schladming-Dachstein Golf Club in Haus im Ennstal (approx. 8 km) is a demanding Leading Courses Austria, but very promising for every handicap group. The golf course at Schloss Pichlarn (approx. 40 km) is a real natural beauty and has an exceptionally beautiful panorama. A look into the neighboring state of Salzburg points to the GC Radstadt (20 km). The landscape is incredibly beautiful and the “birdie jet” gondola lift is a world sensation.
Adventure on land and water
With us you are invited to try something completely new to have fun. The Enns beckons to be conquered. When rafting or canoeing, a little wilder to Schladming, after that the course of the river calms down. Another great experience is canyoning in great gorges or a tandem paragliding flight from Planai or Hauser Kaibling. If that's too exciting for you, you might be in good hands on the summer toboggan run on the Rittisberg or in the adventure park on the Planai. Ski-in and ski-out - a wonderful entry to the dream slopes of Ski amadé and the 4-mountain ski area. You can get your ski ticket - without having to stand at the cash desk - at the reception of our neighboring hotel Erzherzog Johann. Strap on your skis in front of your apartment and off you go. 126 exquisite slopes are just waiting to be discovered by you. State-of-the-art facilities, ski huts and mountain restaurants with predominantly regional dishes, sun terraces, après ski parties, fun parks ... when you take off your skis at the apartment, you have a day of skiing full of experiences behind you. Tomorrow we start again, maybe with the free ski bus in front of the resort.
Cross-country skiing - skating or classic style
Hardly any other sport ensures more healthy fitness than cross-country skiing. The smooth movement in the fresh, clear winter air ensures condition and a strengthening of the immune system. When that happens in a dream setting, such as in Ramsau am Dachstein (approx. 7 km) or in Rohrmooser Ober- and Untertal, the soul is caressed. Sporty on the skating track or leisurely in a classic style - a blessing that is also crowned with a stop in a cozy hut. With your workout you can definitely also enjoy the more “substantial” delicacies.
Tobogganing day and night
Whiz down the mountain on a toboggan is a particularly fun experience. Fast, the wind in your face and maybe even a little challenge to the next bend - real fun. On the Hochwurzen, our local mountain, you can use a 7 km long natural toboggan run from the summit to the valley station of the Hochwurzen gondola for your toboggan run. The phenomenal panorama and a stop in one of the huts make tobogganing perfect. Night tobogganing is also very fun when this toboggan run is continuously illuminated and you “conquer” the mountain under a starry sky. By the way, a stop is traditionally part of night tobogganing.
