Bad weather program
Holiday fun in any weather

The Schladming-Dachstein region owes its scenic beauty, its abundance of water and the purity of the air to regular rainfall. In order the wait for the next sunny hours, interesting alternatives are available for young and old. The guests of the Keinprecht Hotels can get individual suggestions on this topic at the reception.

A tip on the side: Anyone who goes on a hike through the nearby forests after rainfall is rewarded with unexpectedly “grounded” sensory experiences, full of intensely aromatic smells.
No
sunshine?
No problem! Children can get impatient on rainy days. A very welcome distraction in such cases is contact with animals, for which the region offers numerous possibilities: forest animals and game enclosures, llamas and alpacas, horses (especially ponies), all kinds of pets ... up to a visit to the queen bee . We would be happy to provide you with detailed information about the bad weather family program at reception. We are guaranteed to find an interesting alternative for you!

Museums, exhibitions and excursions

Rainy days are a welcome opportunity to learn more about the country and its people. Museums, exhibitions and excursions offer interesting approaches for this. The local history museum in Schladming, the winter sports museum in Haus im Ennstal, the local history museum in Gröbming, Trautenfels Castle or Admont Abbey, which is about 45 minutes away, are just some of the possible excursion destinations. By the way: The possibilities mentioned go beyond just bad weather alternatives!

Sölktäler Nature Park

The Sölktäler are a natural jewel largely untouched by mass tourism and represent a geological peculiarity in the alpine region. Above this, as well as about the historical and folk-cultural significance of the valleys, the “Naturparkhaus Schloss Großsölk” provides vivid, sometimes astonishing content. The exhibition "Natura Mirabilis" in Großsölk Castle, a walk through the Jesuit garden with over 200 different plant species or the ice age themed trail - here you can spend interesting and informative hours and immerse yourself in the history of the region.

Hurray, it's raining!

All of our vacation spots have bad weather alternatives, most of which are included in the Summercard and mostly appeal to families with children. Our tip: If it's already wet, then do it right! When it comes to water sports such as rafting and canyoning, nobody stays dry anyway. In the region, two professional leisure companies, which are also bonus partners of the Summercard, organize guided tours on the Enns and other bodies of water.
